Helen Siegel Weintraub, 98, was a lifelong resident of Brooklyn, New York. Helen graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and attended Brooklyn College. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Ilene and son Fred. When her children were grown, she pursued a career as a school secretary. She loved services at Congregation Beth El in the Homecrest section of Brooklyn and was the editor of the bulletin. Helen was an avid reader and loved an intellectual conversation. She was also an active member of the Democratic Club. Helen outlived her beloved husband, Milton by 31 years. In her 90's she moved to an assisted living facility in Trumbull, CT to be closer to her daughter. She is survived by her daughter Ilene Weintraub Goby of Trumbull, CT and son Dr. Fred Weintraub of Atlanta, GA, two sisters, Thelma Linden of Leesburg, VA and Muriel Friedland of Monroe Township, NJ, 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held graveside at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ, on Monday, July 19th at 1:15.
