Dear Lisa's Sisters,
My Name is Benjy Stokar I was a student of Lisa. I am deeply saddened to hear about Lisa passing away. She was a great person. I got to know her for 9 months. She helped me with excel. She was so kind she was so happy to see me everyday even though it was for an hour in a half. Also she didn't even work for money she worked for free thats just awesome may her memory live on. I remember she said was hard to say good bye to me meaning when she didn't come anymore to meet with me because we thought she could help other people. Also she always was happy. I wanted to make a donation in her name to the JCC of manhattan. If there were more people like Lisa the world would be a better place.
I am an employment specialist with the Jobs program at JCC Manhattan, serving adults with developmental disabilities. On 2018 I reached out to Lisa to see if she would tutor one of our participants at his job to help him improve his computer skills. She readily agreed! She and B formed a great working relationship, both mutually enjoying the experience. I was amazed at how dedicated she was at going to his office on his lunch hour once a week for six months! I think she was truly touched by B and his sunny disposition on life. We were all touched by her dedicated kind and gentle ways of moving B forward.
My heart felt condolences to her family. I hold you in the light.
