Whether you are seeking a traditional funeral service or cremation services, many of the selections and arrangement options remain exactly the same. Our staff will help you plan according to Jewish customs, your personal wishes, and any applicable laws or regulations.
Making Final Arrangements
If a loved one has passed or you are pre-planning funeral services, our staff will meet with you to discuss each aspect of the funeral service. These arrangements include scheduling the date, time and location of the funeral service, selecting a casket and/or other funeral goods and services, confirming cemetery arrangements, preparing an obituary, and coordinating funeral honors for eligible Veterans.
In addition to planning the services, our staff will obtain all necessary authorizations and permits, record the Death Certificate with the Registrar’s Office, and coordinate with all necessary Federal, State, and Local agencies.
When meeting with a funeral director, please prepare the following information and documents:
- Date of Birth
- Social Security Number
- Hebrew Name
- Cemetery Deed
- Veteran’s Honorable Discharge Form DD-214 (required for all VA benefits and funeral honors)
- Clothing (Tachrichim - traditional burial garments, may be required by the Cemetery or Clergy)
- Suggested Memorial Contributions - Tzedakah
